This Cross sits far far up high on the side of a cliff overlooking the town of Jinotega, Nicaragua. I was told by a local that this Cross was placed here by the Spanish conquerors. The reason for placing the cross here was in hopes it would protect the town below from becoming a victim to possible falling boulders. I was told that hundreds of people a day make the journey all the way up to this Cross as well as I was told there is a set of steps to take all the way up, however I wasn't about to dare this nor did we have the time. The Cross is well lit up a night as it beams down over the town of Jinotega.
