Esteli, Nicaragua

We left Jinotega to journey into Esteli.  I wasnt that charmed with Esteli.  Esteli was crowded with everything you could imagine and not much of what I cared for.  It was way bigger than Jinotega was and way much more fast paced.  We ate at some restaurant time you entered into Matagalpa.  The food was great and the prices were much like American cost.  Across the street was a shop filled with beautiful handmade items ranging from purses to pictures to hang on the wall.  The women traveling with us decided to opt for the cheaper option of hostel staying while we headed on down to the Don Vito Hotel.  After checking into the Don Vito Hotel we walked around the streets checking out the local flare and we stumbled upon a 2 story grocery store.  This place had a large variety of everything you could think of and a few things we had not yet found in Nica like grape jelly.  We purchased our few items and then headed back to the hotel to put them up and head out for a drink or two.  We walked to some place diagonally across the street and had a drink and socialized with a local.  The next morning we stopped by the town square and purchased a locally made piggy bank for $5.00 and then we purchased a  hat for $8.00.
